Flexible Cancellations

Intercape requires a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled departure time for all cancellations.
If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time, no refund will be offered.
If a customer fails to board a bus, no refund will be offered.
If a customer arrives on time but the bus departs early, no refund will be offered.
If a customer is late and the bus has already departed, no refund will be offered.
If the bus is delayed or cancelled due to circumstances out of Intercape's control, such as a technical fault, accident, natural disaster, road closure or protest, a full refund will be offered.
If the customer is denied boarding due to an overbooking of the bus, a full refund will be offered.
If the customer cancels their booking due to a medical emergency, a full refund will be offered.
If the customer wishes to change the date of the booking, a fee of R50 (in country where code equals to za) will be charged.
If the customer fails to show up on the date specified in the booking, no refund will be offered.
Smooth Luggage
Luggage Policy
Intercape allows passengers to bring 1 piece of hand luggage (maximum of 7 kg per passenger) and 2 pieces of checked-in luggage (maximum of 20 kg per passenger) with them, free of charge.
Additional luggage will be charged a fee of R150 per piece for checked-in luggage, and a fee of R150 per piece for hand luggage.
Bulky items, such as bicycles, surfboards, golf clubs, and prams, will be charged an additional fee of R150 per item.
Animals and plants are not allowed on Intercape buses.
Hazardous and flammable materials, guns and weapons, and illegal drugs are also not allowed on board and are subject to a R1,000 fine.
Pet-Friendly Guidelines
Pet Policy
Intercape in za allows passengers to bring their pets with them on the bus.
Only small pets such as cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and other small domestic animals are allowed to travel in the bus.
All pets must be caged and must not exceed 10kg.
Pets are not allowed to sit on the seats and should remain caged during the journey.
Passengers are responsible for their pet's behavior and must clean up after their pet.
The number of pets allowed is limited to two per passenger.
Pets must not be a nuisance to other passengers.
Pets are not allowed on sleeper buses or night buses.
Pets must not be left unattended in the bus.
Exotic animals, such as snakes and lizards, are not allowed.
